About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled AWS Cloud Engineer to join our agile software engineering team at Zalando GmbH. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the continuous improvement of our software applications and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design and implement scalable and secure cloud-based solutions using Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud infrastructure.
  2. Develop and maintain high-quality software applications using PHP-based web frameworks such as Symfony.
  3. Refactor existing applications and separate existing software components into micro-services.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate front-end and back-end components and deliver cohesive end-to-end web applications.
  5. Stay up-to-date with the latest AWS services and technologies, and apply this knowledge to improve our infrastructure and applications.
  6. 5+ years of experience as a software engineer and development expertise in PHP.
  7. Demonstrated expertise in PHP programming, including the ability to write clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
  8. Knowledge of event-driven architecture and serverless design patterns.
  9. Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud infrastructure, including EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, and API Gateway.
  10. Strong understanding of both front-end and back-end development concepts and best practices.
