London Oil Operations Director Job Description:

Job Title: London Oil Operations Director

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced London Oil Operations Director to lead our trading operations department in London. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day trading operations activities, ensuring operational performance efficiency, and maintaining good working relationships with counterparties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead day-to-day trading operations activities for commodities such as crude oil.
  • Support demurrage and costs management team with ancillary costs such as demurrage, freight differentials, dead freight, and assist with their resolutions.
  • Build and maintain good working relationships with operations teams of relevant counterparties.
  • Deal with Inspection Companies for related cargo quality/quantity controls.
  • Be the first point of contact for internal communication and co-operation regarding pertaining cargoes.
  • Update company's position updating systems promptly and accurately with latest data regarding cargoes.
  • Deal with ad-hoc requests related to operations activities generated by the Trading Team.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and external requirements.
  • Manage storage locations including stock reconciliations.

Requirements:

  • Familiarity with cargo documentation, b/l, inspection, LC, voyage orders, and customs.
  • Understanding of Trading & Shipping Operations activities including Cargoes, Time Charters, Voyage Charters, Ships, Quality & Quantity controls.
  • Awareness of Procedures, Compliance Policy.
  • Full command of English language (written and spoken). Knowledge of Italian beneficial.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite.

Salary: £100,000 - £120,000 per annum depending on experience.
