ENGINEERINGUK is seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security and OT Governance Expert to join our team as an R&D Operational Technology Service & Security Delivery Director. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the security and governance of operational technology across our R&D environment.

About the Role

This role requires a deep understanding of cyber security and operational technology. You will work closely with our R&D Lines, Digital & Technology, Data Governance, and Risk Management teams to ensure compliance with OT security policies and standards.

As a cyber security and OT governance expert, you will provide expert guidance on operational technology security and risk management, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver value to GSK. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Governance: Manage the governance around operational technology, including Steering Committees, forums, and working groups.
  • Performance: Ensure adherence to service level agreements with stakeholders and external vendors, guaranteeing uptime and performance of critical operational technology systems.
  • Incident Management: Lead the response to operational technology-related incidents, ensuring rapid resolution to minimize downtime and operational disruption.
  • Control Management: Implement cybersecurity measures specific to operational technology environments.
  • Risk Management: Conduct regular risk assessments to identify threats, vulnerabilities, and control gaps in OT systems and ensure mitigation plans are in place.
  • Patch Management: Collaborate with R&D lines and vendors to manage the deployment of security patches and updates for OT devices.
  • Training & Awareness: Develop, deliver, and maintain OT-specific awareness programs for employees focusing on the unique risks and best practices for securing laboratory instrumentation, equipment, and connected computer assets.
  • Project Management: Support the management of operational technology initiatives within R&D.

We offer a competitive salary of £110,000 - £130,000 per annum, depending on experience, and a comprehensive benefits package.
