About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Housekeeper to join our client's team on a permanent full-time basis. As a Housekeeper, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, welcoming, and safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily cleaning duties, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing all areas of the care home, including resident rooms, bathrooms, and common areas.
  • Manage laundry services for residents, ensuring their clothing and bedding are cleaned to a high standard.
  • Safely and efficiently dispose of waste, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
  • Monitor and maintain cleaning supplies, reporting when stock needs replenishing.
  • Ensure all cleaning tasks are carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations, using appropriate PPE and cleaning materials.
  • Engage warmly and respectfully with residents, ensuring their needs and preferences are met with care and consideration.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in housekeeping, ideally in a care home or similar environment, is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations, particularly in a healthcare setting.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • A caring and empathetic approach, with a passion for helping others.
  • Good communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.

Please note that a DBS certificate is required for this role. A driving license is also essential due to the location. The starting pay rate is £12.20 per hour.
