Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Care Support Specialist to join our team at Ark People Housing Care.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a supportive environment where you will have the chance to make a real difference in the lives of our service users.

You will be working as part of a dedicated team to provide high-quality care and support to individuals with varying levels of need, ensuring their independence and dignity are maintained at all times.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with both service users and colleagues.

A competitive salary of £25,000 - £30,000 per annum is on offer for this role, depending on experience.

About the Role

As a Care Support Specialist, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing personal care and support to service users in accordance with their individual needs and preferences
  • Assisting with daily living tasks, such as meal preparation, cleaning, and laundry
  • Encouraging and supporting service users to participate in activities and engage with their local community
  • Maintaining accurate records and reporting any concerns or issues to the relevant authorities

You will be required to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of our service users.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need to possess:

  • A passion for delivering high-quality care and support to vulnerable adults
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with service users and colleagues
  • Physical fitness and ability to lift and move equipment as required
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Basic IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office

Please note that previous experience in care work is desirable but not essential. We are happy to provide full training to the right candidate.
