Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Pension Administrator to join our team at IDEX Consulting Ltd.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading pension consulting firm, administering and leading on a portfolio of Defined Benefit schemes. As the client relationship manager, you will be responsible for checking colleagues' work, managing workflow, and training/developing junior staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and lead on a portfolio of Defined Benefit schemes, ensuring accurate and timely processing of pension benefits.
  • Act as the client relationship manager, building strong relationships with scheme members, pension trustees, and other relevant third parties.
  • Manage workflow and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines, while maintaining high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Train and develop junior staff, providing guidance and support to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.

Requirements

  • Broad pension technical knowledge, with at least five years' experience working in a Defined Benefit pension administration environment.
  • Knowledge of systems, including Microsoft Office and Windows applications.
  • Experience in managing ad-hoc and annual pension projects, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to articulate and communicate complex pension issues to scheme members, pension trustees, and other relevant third parties.
  • Ability to work proactively and use own initiative to complete tasks, with a focus on delivering results in a fast-moving environment.

Desirable Skills

  • Knowledge of and experience with GMP Reconciliation/Equalisation calculations.
  • Practical knowledge of the Pension Protection Fund (PPF).
