Aerospace Fitter

We are seeking a skilled Fitter with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience to join our team at CV Library. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the overhaul, repair, and engineering of wheel-sets, bogie chassis, and other mechanical components.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform wheel-set overhaul, damage repair, and engineering tasks.
- Conduct bogie chassis damage repair and cleaning.
- Carry out bogie and gearbox engineering and repair tasks.
- Exchange wheels on wheel sets.
- Install bearings, axles, and wheels.
- Overhaul, repair, and analyze components and sub-assemblies.
- Re-engineer and produce spare parts.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience and be able to use measuring equipment and overhead cranes. Training will be provided for the right candidate.
Working Hours:The role will involve working 2 shifts initially, with the possibility of flexing to work a third shift if required. The working hours are as follows:
Mornings:Monday to Thursday: 06:00
Nights:Monday to Thursday: 22:00 - Midnight
Salary:The hourly rate for this role is £15.35, with overtime paid at £21.
