Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Aftersales Applications Engineer to strengthen our team at Ulrich GmbH & Co. KG in Bedford. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality solutions to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Equipment Selection: Select and recommend pump equipment that meets customer specifications, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Pipe Friction Losses: Calculate and produce curves using in-house tools to determine pipe friction losses, providing accurate and reliable data to customers.
  • Estimates and Quotations: Prepare and deliver high-standard quotes, solutions, and technical information to customers throughout the inquiry to quotation process.
  • Technical Support: Provide internal technical support to ensure seamless collaboration and knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Commercial Support: Offer support to Area Sales Managers, Commercial Manager, and other stakeholders to drive business growth and customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
  • Education: HNC/D or degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience: Proven experience with centrifugal pumps, wastewater industry, and framework, as well as experience preparing and delivering estimates and quotations in a manufacturing/Engineering business.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and schematics, and experience working with commercial terms and conditions.
