Edinburgh, Edinburgh, United Kingdom City of Edinburgh Council Full time

At the City of Edinburgh Council, we're committed to creating a workplace where our people are supported and recognised for their contribution to making a positive difference to the city and the lives of our residents.

We're seeking an Organisational Development Specialist to join our Human Resources team based at Waverley Court. This is a great opportunity to develop your skills and experience in designing and delivering solutions and campaigns to deliver the commitments in our People Strategy.

The main area of focus for this role will be to support the development and work of our Colleague Networks and Equalities, Diversity and Inclusion activities. As part of our goal to improve our organisational culture and create a great place to work together for the people of Edinburgh, we want to make sure that we're bringing the best people into our roles.

We're changing the way we interview and assess candidates by moving from a competency-based interview approach to a behavioural and technical (skills for the job) based approach. This new way of interviewing will allow us to assess how you think and how you would bring Respect, Integrity, and Flexibility into your ways of working.

You'll have the opportunity to work with other HR Consultants and Senior HR Consultants on a wide range of projects, including designing and delivering solutions and campaigns to deliver the commitments in our People Strategy. We're looking for someone who is passionate about OD and wants to continue to develop their skills and experience.

This role offers a competitive salary of £32,000 - £37,000 per annum, depending on experience, and 36 hours per week. You'll also have the opportunity to work flexibly and from home as part of our flexible working policy.
