Audit Manager Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Audit Manager to join our team in Hampshire. As a key member of our audit team, you will be responsible for managing audits from planning to completion, mentoring new trainees, and monitoring client deadlines.

About the Role
  • Manage audits from planning to completion, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
  • Mentor new trainees and support their learning and development, fostering a positive and inclusive team environment.
  • Monitor client deadlines and ensure these are met, maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Prepare and submit financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee workflow and improve processes where possible, driving efficiency and productivity within the team.
  • Lead field-based client meetings and audit work, providing expert guidance and support to clients.
  • Work closely with Partners to support audit and business development matters, identifying opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Assist with target setting and department budgeting, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Manage billing and debt overview for the audit department, maintaining accurate records and ensuring timely payments.
  • Identify services that will add value to your portfolio of clients, driving business growth and revenue.
  • Confidently network to promote the department, building relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Oversee the audit team, championing the firm's values and promoting a positive and inclusive team culture.
  • Provide professional and personable client-facing communication skills, ensuring excellent customer service and satisfaction.
  • Set an example for the team as a natural leader, demonstrating expertise, integrity, and a commitment to excellence.

The Successful Applicant
  • ACA, ACCA, or CA qualified with audit experience within practice.
  • Self-motivated and reliable, with a drive to progress and succeed.
  • Technically efficient in both audit and accounting, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Experience of audit systems would be a distinct advantage.
  • A drive to deliver technical knowledge as a point of call for the team.
  • Previous supervisory experience, with a positive attitude and a commitment to excellence.
  • Confident in reviewing processes and improving systems to boost efficiency.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with excellent client-facing skills.
