Job Description

The role of Assistant Audit Manager/Manager is a key position within our firm, responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality audit services to designated clients. As an Assistant Manager, you will play a crucial role in coaching and training the audit team, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met, and reviewing audit files.

This is an opportunity to take control of day-to-day audit work on larger and riskier audits, working closely with the Audit Manager to resolve issues and concerns. You will be responsible for planning and managing the effective delegation, flow-through, and completion of audit work for clients, maintaining up-to-date technical knowledge, and providing high-level technical advice to clients.

You will also manage and support a team of audit staff, helping them achieve their goals and objectives while developing their skills and capabilities. As the principal contact for larger clients, you will build effective relationships with client staff, acting as an ambassador for the firm.

About You

To succeed in this role, you should have excellent communication skills, with the ability to positively impact and influence others. Relevant experience in a similar role is preferred, with a qualified CA (or equivalent) and above, ICAS, ACCA qualification or equivalent. You should have practical experience of using software systems in the preparation of audit files, financial statements, and audit working papers.

You will also need good organisational skills, being proactive in your approach to work. We are looking for someone who can demonstrate their ability to make a positive impact for the clients and colleagues they work with.

Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition, we provide a range of benefits, including flexible working arrangements, a hybrid working model, and opportunities for professional development. We are based in the UK, with opportunities to work with clients across the country. As a remote worker, you will have the flexibility to work from home or our office locations.
