Job Title: Learning Support Assistant

About the Role:

The Learning Support Assistant will provide one-to-one support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) across both primary and secondary ages. This role requires a compassionate and proactive individual to work closely with teachers to create an inclusive learning environment and support students in reaching their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Offer tailored support to students with SEN, assisting with their academic work and personal development.
  • Collaborate with teachers to implement and monitor personalized learning plans and strategies.
  • Foster a positive and supportive atmosphere in which students feel valued and encouraged.
  • Assist with classroom management and help students develop effective learning habits.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to support student progress and well-being.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young people, particularly those with SEN, is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of SEN and the ability to tailor support to meet individual needs.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
  • Patient, empathetic, and proactive attitude towards supporting students.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
