The Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Care Assistant to join our team at one of our residential care homes. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a key role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of Care Assistants in providing personal care and support to residents
  • Develop and implement individualised care plans in collaboration with the Registered Nurse and Care Manager
  • Provide essential physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities
  • Administer medication as required
  • Maintain accurate records of care provided and contribute to the development of new policies and procedures

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Level 2 Diploma S/NVQ in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification
  • A background in person-centred care planning and knowledge of caring for people with dementia
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritise tasks
