About the Role

We are seeking a Support Worker to join our team in Darlington, supporting an active young gentleman with autism and a learning disability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Empower independence by supporting the individual to live their life how they choose, be themselves, and achieve their personal goals.
  • Assist with medication administration, budgeting, and prompting with meal prep, cooking, cleaning, laundry, and identifying opportunities for accessing the community with a wide range of activities.
  • Provide emotional reassurance and ensure a level of safety during moments of distress, with full positive behaviour support training provided.

Shift Patterns

  • Long Day Sleep-In Shifts: 9am – 9:15am the following day (includes £45 sleep over shift)
  • Day Shifts: Varies, depending on need. As a second member of support to access the wider community.
  • Sleep-Ins: 11pm – 8am (Paid to Sleep)

Requirements

  • Full UK Driving Licence Essential for this role.
  • Previous experience is preferred.
