Senior Inquest Coordinator

In this challenging and rewarding role, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing coronial inquests and hearings within the North East Ambition Coroner Service. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with investigating Coroner Officers, Senior Coroners, and Assistant Coroners to schedule and facilitate the hearing of inquests in the Coroner's Court.
The ideal candidate will have strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work discreetly and confidentially. You will also be proficient in using a range of ICT equipment and software, including case management systems.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and manage coronial inquests, including remote attendees
- Manage court documentation and recordings
- Respond to day-to-day enquiries from members of the public and stakeholders
- Update and maintain accurate information regarding cases using case management systems
- 4 GCSEs (Grades 4-9 or A*-C including English Language or Literature) or equivalent
- NVQ level 2 in Business Administration or related qualification
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work discreetly and confidentially
- Proficient in using a range of ICT equipment and software
We offer a competitive salary of £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additionally, we provide a range of benefits, including:
