South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Clinical Biochemistry Expert to join our Pathology department. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of laboratory techniques and Biomedical science relevant to Clinical Chemistry.

Key Responsibilities:

Rotation through all sections within the chosen department will provide candidates with a wide range of experience. The role involves taking a leading role in achieving daily workload targets, therefore effective interpersonal and communication skills are crucial. The ability to work efficiently as part of a team and be able to prioritise work in order to meet strict deadlines is essential.

Analyse pathology specimens and provide technically accurate results. Be professionally accountable for the interpretation of patients' results to enable diagnostic and treatment regimes for clinical colleagues. Provide specialist knowledge and assistance to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients within their area of responsibility.

The post holder will be expected to work with senior staff to help support the integration of Clinical Biochemistry into Pathology from a staff, IT, and technological perspective.

The salary for this position is approximately £40,000 - £50,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • MSc Biomedical Science
  • Experience of working various shifts across both core and non-core hours in their chosen discipline
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
