Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at Harton Search, supporting student success in SEN education.

Location: Guildford, Surrey

Salary: Competitive pay rates based on experience and qualifications (approximately £85-95 per day)

The successful candidate will work with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a variety of settings across Guildford, providing individualized support and promoting their educational and personal development.

Responsibilities
  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with diverse SEN needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, and other conditions.
  • Assist in developing and implementing tailored Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies to meet each student's unique requirements.
  • Adapt lesson plans and resources to ensure SEN students can fully participate in lessons, promoting understanding and confidence in their learning.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing valuable feedback to teachers, SENCOs, and parents to inform ongoing learning journeys.
  • Implement behaviour management techniques to create a calm and productive learning environment, helping students regulate their emotions and focus on learning.
Requirements
  • A genuine passion for working with children with SEN and a commitment to their educational and personal development.
  • Previous experience working with children or young people in any capacity, particularly in an educational or SEN setting, is highly desirable but not essential.
  • An Enhanced DBS Disclosure (or willingness to apply) and the right to work in the UK are mandatory.
