Senior Legal Advisor

We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Legal Advisor to join our team at Aggreko. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for providing expert legal advice on contract renewal, tenders, and contracts with suppliers and customers.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Supporting commercial and contractual negotiations with customers and suppliers, including drafting and review of non-disclosure agreements, rental contracts, tender documentation, service level agreements, warranty documents, and performance guarantees.
• Ensuring that contracts provide appropriate protection to Aggreko in line with group standards.
• Delivering advice in a commercially relevant manner, comprehensible and easy to use, in line with current market norms, and aligned to the commercial aspects of the deal.
• Providing training and guidance to sales, operations, engineering, and procurement teams on relevant legal matters, standard internal documents, and policies.
• Ensuring the appropriate levels of governance are applied to guarantee legal compliance, including ethics, anti-bribery, and corruption, in conjunction with Group Compliance Director.
• Managing and overseeing the maintenance of corporate entities in the region in conjunction with external service providers.
• Monitoring changes in relevant legislation and regulatory environments, assessing impact on the business, and taking appropriate action.

You'll have the following skills and experience:

• Technical expertise: You will be a skilled legal professional with the proven ability to quickly assess and understand any number of complex legal issues across the business and provide commercial solutions.
• Sector expertise: You will have experience operating in the engineering services sector or other relevant sector such as utility energy, mining, or oil & gas.
• International experience: You will have demonstrated ability to operate across a broad geographical footprint.
• Commercial acumen: You will have well-developed commercial awareness with an outcome-orientated and solution-based approach, able to apply legal principles pragmatically.
• Languages: You will be fluent in either Romanian, Dutch, or German and speak business-level English. Additional European languages are desirable but not essential.
