About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Safety Case Assurance Lead to join our team at Sizewell C (SZC) Design Authority. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety case is fully verified, drawing on the knowledge of multiple verifiers appointed to review sections/sub-sections.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the verification of the SZC Pre-Construction Safety Report (PCSR) to ensure it meets the expectations of our regulator, ONR.
  • Provide technical leadership in resolving challenging issues to support the construction, commissioning, and eventual safe operation of the Nuclear Power Plant.
  • Work closely with multiple disciplines within the wider organisation, including Nuclear Analysis, Engineering, Construction, Commissioning, and Operations.
  • Develop and maintain the safety case, ensuring it is up-to-date and compliant with Licence Condition 14.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in UK safety cases and a strong understanding of regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent organisation skills, with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Strong technical knowledge and ability to distil complex information into clear, concise reports.
  • Ability to work in a high-profile, dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders.
