About the RoleWe are seeking a talented Audit Manager to join our Southampton team. As a key member of our audit team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, ensuring the delivery of high-quality audit services and maintaining strong relationships with our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a portfolio of audit clients, ensuring timely completion of audits and delivery of high-quality services
- Develop and implement audit strategies, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed
- Lead and motivate a team of audit professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality services
- Monitor costs against budget for individual clients, ensuring efficient use of resources
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting and auditing standards, industry specifics, and regulatory requirements
- Accounting qualification (ACA, CA, ACCA) and significant external audit experience gained within a professional services environment
- Proven track record of managing and motivating staff to achieve high performance
- Strong commercial awareness and understanding of clients' businesses and their impact on audit work
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously
