Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and career-driven Optometrist to join our team at Compass Associates. As an Optometrist Specialist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and working closely with our team of Ophthalmologists to deliver high-quality eye care services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out examinations associated with cataract surgery
- Run acute and follow-up clinics post-surgery for patients, documenting findings in electronic medical record systems
- Provide health advice and support to patients attending the hospital
- Provide first-line clinical advice to patients and refer to medical practitioners as necessary
- Ensure awareness of CQC policies and updates, attending mandatory update courses
- Help control cross-infection by enforcing hospital policies on uniform, cleanliness, and decontamination
- Identify ways to improve processes and services to ensure a streamlined, efficient, and high-quality service
- Ensure compliance with pre-authorisation processes and collection of surgery deposits
- Travel to hospital sites for training or meetings
Requirements:
- Experience working in a clinical or hospital setting
- Experience using patient administration systems and electronic medical record systems
- Cataract experience (desirable), with training available for the right candidate
- IP qualification (desirable), with training available for the right candidate
