SEMHLTA Position Available in Harrogate

We are recruiting a highly skilled SEMHLTA to join our team in Harrogate, North Yorkshire. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting secondary age students with SEMH needs.

About the Role:
  1. Deliver tailored support to secondary age students with SEMH needs.
  2. Work closely with teachers to develop and implement educational activities.
  3. Implement effective behaviour management strategies to promote a positive learning environment.
  4. Monitor and evaluate students' progress, identifying areas for improvement.
  5. Offer one-to-one and small group support to meet individual student needs.
  6. Contribute to the development of teaching materials and resources.
  7. Support the school's SEN policies and contribute to EHCPs.

Salary: £24,000 - £27,000 per year (£120-135 per day)

Requirements:
  1. Proven experience working as an HLTA in SEMH or SEN settings.
  2. Strong understanding of the challenges faced by students with SEMH needs.
  3. Excellent behaviour management skills and strategies.
  4. Ability to build strong relationships with secondary age students.
  5. A collaborative team player with strong communication skills.
  6. Relevant HLTA qualification or equivalent.
  7. Commitment to ongoing professional development in SEN education.
  8. Own personal transport required.
