Our Crime Department

Our crime department is renowned for its expertise and dedication to delivering exceptional results. Our team of experienced solicitors and advocates work tirelessly to ensure that our clients receive the best possible representation. We have a strong track record of success in complex and sensitive cases, and our team is committed to providing a high level of service to our clients.

Main Responsibilities of the Role
  • Manage a caseload of complex and sensitive crime cases, including bail applications, serious fraud, white collar crime, murder, drug crime, and theft.
  • Represent clients detained at the police station, conduct advocacy in the Magistrates Court, and attend to clients both in and outside of office hours.
  • Collaborate with the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) and courts to ensure the best possible outcomes for our clients.
  • Prepare statements and collate evidence to support our clients' cases.
  • Implement recommendations made by supervisors following monthly file reviews to ensure compliance with file management procedures.
Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Duty and Police Station Accreditation.
  • Higher rights of advocacy qualification (advantageous but not necessary).
  • Valid Practising Certificate at the time of application.
  • Strong client care skills and ability to deal with vulnerable clients and resolve complicated practicalities.
  • Excellent networking and communication skills to successfully market the Company and generate new business.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills to manage complex caseloads and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to use own initiative and sound judgment to make decisions in complex and sensitive cases.
