HR Support Specialist

We are a leading global shipping consultancy based in Ipswich, seeking an experienced HR Support Specialist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing and established business permanently.
This role will play a crucial part in the success of our HR team, providing administrative support and advice on employment-related matters.
The ideal candidate should have previous experience in HR and employee relations, with excellent knowledge of MS Packages, including Excel for reporting.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting pre-employment background checks and collecting right-to-work documentation before start dates
- Providing assistance with employment-related matters, including performance management, sickness management, disciplinary procedures, and grievances
- Preparing contracts, new starter packs, and electronic employee files
- Managing the onboarding process for new starters and organizing inductions and welcome meetings
Skills and qualifications required:
- At least 2-4 years of experience in an HR Administration role
- Experience working in professional services
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- High attention to detail and ability to produce reports accurately
