Job Title: Senior Data Engineer

Capital One is seeking a highly experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our team in the UK. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale data systems and architectures that support our business operations.

About the Role

We are looking for a talented and motivated individual who has a strong background in data engineering and a passion for building scalable and reliable data systems. The ideal candidate will have experience with data warehousing, ETL, data governance, and data security.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop large-scale data systems and architectures that support our business operations
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines, data warehouses, and data lakes
  • Implement data governance and data security measures to ensure data integrity and compliance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and develop data solutions
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in data engineering
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering with a strong background in data warehousing, ETL, data governance, and data security
  • Experience with data engineering tools such as Apache Spark, Apache Hadoop, and NoSQL databases
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, data architecture, and data governance
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
