Ecological Team Lead

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing, supportive and ambitious UK-wide Ecology team at Stantec. As a Principal/Lead Ecologist, you will collaborate with teams from different disciplines, working closely with clients to deliver complex ecological projects.
About the RoleYou will be responsible for managing ecological issues within a project context, mentoring staff, engaging with clients and supporting bids and tenders. The position offers autonomy and the chance to build a successful team around your passion for ecology.
Key Responsibilities- Manage complex ecological projects, ensuring delivery meets client expectations
- Mentor and support staff in their professional development
- Engage with clients, understanding their needs and delivering tailored solutions
- Support bid and tender processes, increasing the diversity of projects delivered
- Familiarity with UKHab classification and Defra Metric
- Able to craft compelling fee proposals and manage project budgets
- Experience in winning work and team development a bonus, but not essential
- Competitive salary: £60,000-£80,000 per annum, depending on experience
