Are you an experienced Manufacturing Engineer looking for a new challenge? We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at Major Recruitment, in partnership with Polytec Group, based in Telford. This role will also involve travel to our site in Bridgnorth.

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and developing current manufacturing processes. Using continuous improvement techniques, you will identify process changes to reduce takt time, operational costs, and improve product quality. You will also lead system updates with the fixture supplier and support operations with build or fixture issues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support to the Operations Team using current production lines to manufacture customer assemblies.
  • Review current manufacturing processes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Manage LOP Lists of issues on current production lines and provide technical solutions to ensure production supply is not affected.
  • Support the delivery of Model Year updates on current production lines.
  • Support Project Management (NPI) and manage multiple short-term tasks to meet the expectations of others in the organisation.
  • Manage projects within constraints using recognised methods and systems.
  • Work within a team of technical professionals supporting sales of the company's products, solutions, and services.
  • Develop fixing/assembly concepts for complete programs.
  • Have a detailed understanding of plastics (material, processing, characteristics, and behaviour).
Requirements:
  • Qualified in a related engineering discipline to HNC/HND Level as a minimum.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in manufacturing/launch engineering.
  • Full knowledge of manufacturing/production processes - end to end.
  • Experience in Project Management/Continuous Improvement.
  • Ability to manage production integration.
