Shipping Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled Shipping Coordinator to join our team at Airedale, a world leader in thermal management solutions. This role is responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of export orders, working closely with internal departments and external partners to deliver exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate the shipping of export orders, ensuring timely and accurate delivery to customers
- Negotiate freight rates with forwarders and agents, leveraging expertise in Incoterms to optimize costs
- Collaborate with internal departments, including Sales, Spares Order Processing, and Manufacturing, to progress export orders
- Ensure compliance with current legislation and regulations for export shipments, working closely with the local Chamber of Commerce
- Provide cover for the UK Shipping Administrator in times of absence
- Experience in export shipping, preferably with a background in logistics or freight management
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Proficiency in Incoterms and ability to apply knowledge to optimize freight costs
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on customer service
