Strategic Brand Manager

Newham's corporate plan, Building a Fairer Newham, sets out how they will transform the Borough and, as a Council, provide consistently excellent resident experience. The Council's Marketing Directorate plays a crucial role in achieving this goal by presenting the Council's brand and narrative to residents and partners, winning their hearts and minds, and motivating staff to become ambassadors for the Council.
Key Responsibilities:- Brand Management: Protect Newham's brand identity by providing sign-off and quality assurance, and promoting adherence to brand guidelines within the Directorate and across the Council.
- Strategic Planning: Lead on strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and brand development and implementation.
- Integrated Campaigns: Develop and execute integrated campaigns across media and digital platforms to drive engagement, increase awareness, and influence public behavior.
- Public Affairs and Partnerships: Deliver a strategic approach to building effective engagement and forming strong relationships with UK Government, MPs, local stakeholders, and partners.
- Research and Evaluation: Engage with communities to gauge their views, have meaningful two-way conversations, and research what local people think, feel, need, and want to drive the development of messages and campaigns with real impact.
- Policy: Develop the Council's position on important issues affecting the Borough, including areas of challenge for Newham service provision, and create thought leadership that positions Newham as an expert in key issues.
This role requires a strong understanding of marketing and communications principles, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders to achieve the Council's goals.
