About The Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Sales Ledger Clerk to join our busy Accounts department at Machine Mart. As a Sales Ledger Clerk, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our sales ledger, ensuring timely and efficient processing of financial transactions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process sales invoices, credit notes, and manual invoices in a timely and accurate manner
  • Manage and maintain the batch book, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded and reconciled
  • Process payments received, including cash, credit card, and bank transfers
  • Active payment collection via telephone and email
  • Deal with customer and store queries in a professional and courteous manner
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in sales ledger or credit control
  • Effective working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
