About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our Short Breaks service at the North East Centre for Autism in County Durham. As an Activity Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children and young people with autism to access a range of fun and educational activities, both on-site and in the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support children to access activities and develop their independence
  • Work collaboratively with the team to provide a safe and supportive environment
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized care plans

About You

We are looking for a motivated and caring individual who is passionate about supporting children and young people with autism. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues. Experience in health and social care is not essential, as we provide comprehensive training and support to help you succeed in your role.
