Job Details
WR Logistics is seeking a skilled Transport Planner to join their team in London Gateway, UK. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in transport planning and possess excellent geographical knowledge of the UK. The salary range for this permanent role is £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, based on experience.

About the Role
The Transport Planner will be responsible for dealing with multiple drivers, communicating with ports, and using a transport system called TOPS to manage driver schedules. They will also be required to reroute jobs as needed and ensure that all PODs are matched up with the correct jobs on the system. The successful candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities
* Deal with multiple drivers to ensure timely delivery of goods* Communicate with ports to facilitate smooth transportation operations* Use TOPS to manage driver schedules and optimize routes* Reroute jobs as needed to minimize delays* Check PODs to ensure accurate tracking of goods* Provide clear communication to customers regarding any delays or issues*

Requirements
* Previous experience as a Transport Planner is essential* Excellent geographical knowledge of the UK* Ability to work independently and make quick decisions* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail* Confident written and verbal communication skills
