Job Overview

As a technical specialist, you will be responsible for driving continuous process improvement initiatives and providing technical expertise to support laboratory operations.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Perform and document analytical procedures with accuracy, consistency, and timeliness in accordance with current standard operating procedures (SOPs) and regulatory guidelines.
  2. Conduct routine and moderately complex data analysis to determine if analytical procedures are proceeding as expected and results are within acceptable tolerances.
  3. Identify and document potential performance errors or unusual results and escalate to senior lab personnel.
  4. Provide hands-on training for other Laboratory staff in areas of proven competency as assigned.
  5. Lead routine quality investigations and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure assays are sustainable and scalable in laboratory operations.
  6. Provide advanced knowledge to support technical inquiries and lead troubleshooting projects, including root cause analysis and advanced problem solving.
  7. Produce analytical documentation for laboratory assays and associated pipelines across all service areas in the business.
  8. Identify and lead continuous process improvement initiatives for laboratory operations, including review of laboratory metrics and establishment of additional metrics such as cost savings.
Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  2. More than 4 years of experience in a regulated laboratory.
  3. Working knowledge of applicable governing regulatory requirements.
  4. Strong knowledge of applicable lab techniques.
  5. Proficiency with laboratory calculations regarding batches and specimens.
  6. Ability to maintain a minor degree of independence to complete assigned tasks and projects.
