Mental Health Support Worker

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Mental Health Support Worker to join our team at MindWise. As a Mental Health Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals affected by mental health issues to live their best lives.
Key Responsibilities- Provide emotional support and guidance to individuals affected by mental health issues, promoting their recovery and well-being.
- Work collaboratively with individuals, families, and other professionals to develop and implement personalized support plans.
- Support individuals to access and engage with mental health services, including counseling, therapy, and medication.
- Assist individuals in developing coping strategies and skills to manage their mental health, including stress management, self-care, and healthy lifestyle choices.
- Provide practical support with daily living tasks, such as household chores, meal preparation, and personal care.
- Work in partnership with other agencies and organizations to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to mental health support.
- Level 2 Essential Skills in Maths and English or GCSE Grade C or above in Maths and English.
- A minimum of 3-6 months recent experience in a paid or voluntary role providing support to individuals with mental health issues.
- Ability to demonstrate alignment with MindWise's core values of Passion, Respect, Empathy, Togetherness, Openness & Transparency.
- NISCC Registration or eligibility to register from commencement of role.
