In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the smooth operation of our broadcast and IT infrastructure, working closely with technical teams across the organization to identify opportunities for improvement and implement new technologies. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining and upgrading our equipment and systems, as well as providing expert knowledge and support to colleagues. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a talented team of professionals who share your passion for technology and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware and operating systems
- Utilize computer-based tools to interact with production infrastructure environments
- Maintain close working relationships with technical and operational teams
- Understand vendor support contracts and channel feedback to enhance usability and function of production products and systems
- Identify suitable training opportunities and areas of self-growth
- Support junior roles, particularly Apprentices with peer training and guidance
Requirements:
- BSc degree (or equivalent) in Broadcast Engineering, Media Technology, Computer Science or a related field
- Cisco networking certificate (CCNA) is highly desirable, as is any cloud infrastructure certification
- Flexibility to work a shift pattern which may include unsociable working hours
- Possess a strong understanding of broadcast engineering principles and practices
