Automation Systems Specialist

As a key member of the Service team, the On-Site Service Specialist provides Application Engineering support and conducts Field Service activities at Protection & Control integrators and end customer facilities. This role is responsible for maintaining Substation Control and Protection systems for both onshore and offshore sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to customer representatives, including installation, calibration, repair, and maintenance.
- Conduct Validation, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), and support commissioning of protection systems.
- Participate in installation and commissioning of Protection & Substation Control Systems.
- Manage database, firmware upgrades, network configurations, and cyber security testing.
- Handle customer complaints and manage resolutions efficiently.
- Participate in internal and external training, continuously expanding product and industry knowledge.
- Maintain compliance with health, safety, and quality standards, including RAMS and on-site audits.
- Ability to travel locally and globally (up to 160 days/year).
- Valid driver's license.
- Fluent in English; additional languages (Spanish, French, Italian, or Portuguese) are a plus.
- Expertise in Substation Automation Systems and control systems (LV, MV, HV).
- Knowledge of networking protocols, OT cyber security, and GE Control Systems is preferred.
- Degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Understanding of SCADA/DCS systems and DS Agile SCADA.
- Positive, high-energy individual able to handle challenges and meet tight deadlines.
- Flexible and motivated team player, with the ability to adapt in a dynamic environment.
- Offshore certification and first aid skills are a plus.
