We are seeking a skilled Navigation Algorithm Expert to join our team at MBDA. This role will provide an opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge of the design and functionality of our complex weapon systems through model development work.
About the RoleThis is a dynamic position within the Guidance, Control and Navigation Department. You will be part of a collaborative team working across a range of contract and research activities, impacting multiple areas of delivery within MBDA.
The successful candidate will have strong programming skills, including MATLAB, and experience with navigation algorithms. A PhD or degree with a strong mathematical content is desirable, along with relevant industrial experience.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and evaluate navigation algorithms as part of the wider complex system solution.
- Research, test, and implement state-of-the-art navigation algorithms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of navigation solutions.
- Strong programming skills, including MATLAB.
- Experience with navigation algorithms, preferably with a PhD or degree in a relevant field (e.g., Aerospace Engineering, Control Engineering, Mathematics, Physics).
- Relevant industrial experience, particularly in the defense sector.
- A competitive salary of up to £55,000 per annum, depending on experience.
