Project Engineer Position

Toro Recruitment is seeking a skilled Mechanical Project Engineer to join our team in the UK water industry. As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for delivering mechanical design projects from concept to completion. About the Role
The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, with experience in design, specification, and project delivery. You will work closely with engineers and site staff to ensure efficient project delivery and profitability. Additionally, you will be responsible for preparing specifications, schedules, and documentation for projects, conducting site surveys, troubleshooting live projects, and ensuring smooth project delivery. The ideal candidate will also manage project budgets, timelines, and compliance with health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver mechanical projects from concept to completion
- Collaborate with engineers and site staff to maintain efficiency and project profitability
- Prepare specifications, schedules, and documentation for projects
- Conduct site surveys and troubleshoot live projects
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and health and safety standards
Requirements
To excel in this role, you should have:
- A Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- At least 3 years of mechanical design and project experience, ideally in the UK water sector
- Strong CAD skills and practical experience in mechanical systems
- Excellent project management, communication, and organisational abilities
- Knowledge of CDM regulations and health and safety practices
- A positive attitude, flexibility, and team-working skills
- A driving licence and CSCS card (preferable)
What We Offer
Toro Recruitment offers a competitive salary package, including a base salary of £33,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. In addition, we offer a company pension scheme, 28 days holiday (including bank holidays), and opportunities for career development and growth.
