Job Title: Senior Ecologist - Project Management Expert

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Ecologist to join our team at EH20 Group. As a key member of our ecology team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality assessments and services for a variety of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

* Manage projects through all phases, providing expert advice on ecology and biodiversity to clients, stakeholders, and project teams.

* Plan, lead, and conduct ecological surveys.

* Undertake environmental impact assessments, biodiversity net gain assessments, and prepare a range of ecological reports and strategies.

* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies.

Requirements:

* Degree level or higher in Ecology or a related field.

* At least 4-5 years' experience in ecological consultancy, with a proven track record in project management for medium to large scale and complex sites.

* Proficient in advising on Biodiversity Net Gain, including the use of the DEFRA Statutory Biodiversity Metric and preparing related reports and plans.

* Demonstrable experience in producing complex reports, including but not limited to Preliminary Ecological Appraisals (PEA), Ecological Impact Assessments (EcIA), Environmental Statements, Habitats Regulations Assessments (HRA), and Species and Habitat Management Plans.

* In-depth knowledge of ecology and wildlife protection within the context of UK legislation and planning.

* Competency in Microsoft Office, with GIS software experience being advantageous but not essential.
