About the Role

As a Support Worker, you will provide direct support and assistance to individuals with mental health conditions, including:

  • Assisting clients with activities of daily living, such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and household tasks.
  • Supporting clients in developing coping skills, managing symptoms, and achieving their recovery goals.
  • Fostering a therapeutic and supportive environment conducive to the well-being and safety of clients.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including mental health professionals, social workers, and case managers, to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Monitoring client progress and behavior, documenting observations, and reporting any concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Providing emotional support, encouragement, and advocacy for clients to enhance their quality of life and independence.
  • Participating in training and professional development activities to enhance knowledge and skills in mental health care.
Requirements
  • Previous experience working in mental health for over a year, demonstrating your commitment to this field.
  • Hold a current advanced CPI or PMVA Certificate, showcasing your expertise.
  • Compassionate and non-judgmental approach to supporting individuals with mental health challenges, essential for building trust and rapport with clients.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration and relationship-building.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with colleagues and other professionals, highlighting your ability to work collaboratively.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, necessary for prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing client needs and work schedules, demonstrating your willingness to be flexible.
  • Knowledge of mental health conditions, treatment modalities, and recovery principles is preferred, showing your enthusiasm for continuous learning and improvement.
  • Driving Licence is preferred but not essential, indicating that other transportation options can be arranged if needed.
  • Must be a UK resident and have the right to work in the UK, ensuring compliance with employment regulations.
