About the Role

As a Calibration Technician at SGS UK Limited, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of our clients' instrumentation and measurement equipment. Your primary responsibility will be to calibrate, repair, and issue certificates for instruments, meters, and gauges in accordance with UKAS accreditation standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform calibration and repair tasks on instrumentation and measurement equipment
  • Issue certificates and reports to clients
  • Liaise with customers to provide efficient and accurate responses to their queries
  • Work within agreed timescales to meet client deadlines
  • Collaborate with colleagues to maintain high customer service levels

Requirements

  • Experience in practical work in engineering and calibration techniques
  • Understanding of UKAS laboratory standards
  • Full and valid driving license for use in the UK
  • GCSE in Mathematics and English (grades A* to C) or equivalent
