We are seeking a highly skilled Production Manager (Clothing) to join our Supply Chain team at our Head Office in South Shields.

The successful candidate will play a key role in achieving "on time" delivery for products, purchasing orders, raising purchase orders, planning, monitoring, re-prioritizing and expediting. They will ensure that the Business System data accurately reflects production plans and delivery schedules, as well as ensuring that key samples are ordered and delivered on time.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor Purchase Order progress with regular Supplier meetings, including Factory visits.
  • Update & Maintain M3 (our Business System) to reflect accurate Purchase Order data
  • Review the POBE to ensure key sales priorities are expedited with Suppliers & freight options are maximised
  • Ensure Purchase Orders are delivered "on time" maximising Customer Order fulfilment.
  • Maintain PO plans to reflect true delivery position including capacity constraints, factory closures, holidays, transportation lead times etc.
  • Manage the Supplier Sample Tabs and delivery SMS/Showroom samples on time.
Requirements:
  1. Ideally proven experience in garment and general procurement.
  2. Experience of Production Planning.
  3. Proven experience of building strong working relationships and influencing key stakeholders in order to drive high performance.
  4. Ideally experience of dealing with "offshore" suppliers.
  5. High level of numeracy skills.
  6. Strong Excel skills with experience of creating formulas and pivot tables.
  7. Competent level of IT packages: Microsoft Office.
  8. Excellent communication skills, to build strong relationships internally and externally of the department.
  9. High level of attention to detail - able to provide accurate information first time.
  10. Time Management skills to enable effective prioritisation and decision making.
  11. Ability to work in a fast paced and challenging environment.
  12. Doesn't get phased when things go wrong, has the ability to "think on your feet" and problem solve.
  13. Able to prioritise and organise own workload.
  14. Ability to work independently within a small team.
  15. Flexibility to be able to travel overseas if needed.
