Job Title: Hardware Engineer

Capula, a leading provider of advanced system integration, is seeking a skilled Hardware Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for designing and developing hardware systems for control panels and other industrial applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop electrical panels containing PLCs and LV distribution systems
  • Prepare and review calculations and designs for electrical cabling and containment systems
  • Collaborate with production teams to ensure designs are implemented effectively
  • Develop technical solutions to meet project and customer expectations
  • Work with multidisciplinary design teams to deliver high-quality solutions

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems design and PLC programming
  • Experience with AutoCAD Electrical and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to achieve security clearance to SC level and possibly DV
  • Excellent communication and mentoring skills
  • Good working knowledge of related safety and environmental legislation
  • Understanding of IEC BS EN and BS7671 IEE 18th Edition Wiring Regulations

Desirable Requirements:

  • Experience working in a highly regulated industry
  • Understanding of EMC practices
  • Chartered or Incorporated Engineering status
  • MEng qualification
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills in English
