As a key member of our household services team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the cleanliness and comfort of our residents.

As a Laundry and Domestic Support Staff, your duties will include cleaning all public areas, corridors, and lounges, as well as cleaning residents' rooms while maintaining their right to privacy. You will also be responsible for maintaining equipment, collecting dirty linen and clothes, sorting laundry, and operating laundry equipment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Cleaning all public areas, corridors, and lounges regularly
  • Cleaning residents' rooms while maintaining their right to privacy
  • Maintaining equipment and storing it properly
  • Collecting dirty linen and clothes from areas of the care home
  • Sorting laundry into appropriate wash cycles to avoid damage
  • Washing, drying, and ironing linens and residents' personal clothing with care and attention to manufacturers' instructions
  • Operating laundry equipment, washing machines, tumble dryers, and irons
