Job Title: Early Years Assessor/Tutor

Educated Appointments is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Early Years Tutor/Assessor to join our client's team in Surrey. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality training and assessment services to learners in the Early Years sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Plan, deliver, and report on courses, using methods and materials appropriate to the learner group and course content.
  2. Develop and maintain a Scheme of work/syllabus and lesson plans, ensuring they are accessible to learners and meet the required standards.
  3. Prepare and adapt teaching materials to meet the needs of learners.
  4. Assess learner needs and adapt course content and delivery style to meet these needs.
  5. Provide learner feedback and support, as well as educational advice and information as required.
  6. Establish a welcoming and inclusive learning environment, promoting equality and diversity.
  7. Carry out administrative tasks required in each programme area.
  8. Comply with company policies on Equality and Diversity, ensuring all learners are treated with respect and dignity.
  9. Discuss learning outcomes and moderation requirements with learners throughout the course.
  10. Liaise with centre co-ordinators to ensure smooth delivery of training and assessment services.
  11. Evaluate the effectiveness of learning, assessing learner work where necessary, and maintaining records of learner progress.
  12. Offer advice on further learning and progression opportunities to learners as required.
  13. Ensure all required paperwork is completed and returned to the office within the specified timeframe.
  14. Attend relevant induction and training meetings, as well as moderation meetings as required.
  15. Maintain contact with centre co-ordinators, informing them of any changes, cancellations, or significant problems.
  16. Represent the company in a professional manner at all times, promoting the work and supporting management decisions.
Requirements:
  1. Sector competency within Early Years/Childcare.
  2. Teaching Qualifications.
  3. Assessing Qualifications.
