Medical Writer: Innovation and Science Expert

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Writer to join our team at Boston Scientific. As a Medical Writer, you will be responsible for developing high-quality clinical content for regulatory submissions, scientific publications, and educational materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop study-specific documents, such as clinical protocols, clinical study reports, and summaries, in collaboration with the clinical trial team.
  • Review statistical output from BSC clinical trials and registries, and determine appropriate evaluation, interpretation, and presentation of data.
  • Develop, disseminate, and amplify scientific clinical content in various communication vehicles to ensure accurate representation of data and alignment with business objectives.
  • Write manuscripts, abstracts, slide presentations, and poster presentations for scientific meetings within and outside the company.
  • Help organize and chair BSC study publication plan teams, and serve as an advisor and expert for physicians needing access to relevant clinical content.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a related function, such as clinical, research, marketing, medical affairs, or product development.
  • Proven knowledge of clinical issues associated with cardiology, gained through direct or comparable relevant experience in a therapeutic area, scientific, or clinical setting.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% domestically and internationally.
  • Solid understanding of scientific or clinical research and the scientific method, including interpretation of statistical results of clinical studies.
  • Demonstrated scientific/medical writing acumen, including manuscripts, research grants, and scientific presentations.
  • Knowledge of clinical research, device/drug development processes, regulatory requirements, and good clinical practices.
  • Successful experience managing projects, preferably on a global level.
