The Registered Nurse will practice in various clinical settings, assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating client care while collaborating with our interdisciplinary team. This role ensures the delivery of client-centered care by assisting individual clients and their families respond to changing healthcare needs. With a specialized body of knowledge based on nursing science and related content from other sciences and humanities, you will demonstrate expertise in your field.

This casual opportunity offers self-scheduling flexibility, with hours not guaranteed but may vary. Casual employees are eligible to apply for internal postings, including permanent and temporary positions. Many opportunities with Interior Health begin with casual employment and lead to regular employment.

Shifts of work will be scheduled between 07:00 and 19:00 hours or 19:00 and 07:00 hours, days and nights rotating. The hourly wage for this position will be $41.42 to $55.91 per hour, effective April 1, 2024.

The East Kootenay Regional Hospital is a 75-bed referral center serving patients and smaller community hospitals throughout the designated health service area. We offer physician specialties, 24-hour emergency services, acute medical and surgical care, obstetrical services, and lab services.

Cranbrook is the business capital of the East Kootenays and the largest city in the Rocky Mountain Region. Located in the southeastern corner of British Columbia, it offers scenic mountain vistas, outdoor recreational opportunities, and urban pursuits.
