About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Strategic Program Manager to join the Strategy Team at North West London Integrated Care Board. The successful candidate will support the ICB on a fixed-term basis, working closely with the Executive Director of Strategy and Population Health and the Head of Strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Urgent and Emergency Care Strategy
  • Support the development of a comprehensive strategy for urgent and emergency care services in North West London, ensuring high-quality and accessible services for the population.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance patient navigation through 111 and digital front doors, and to keep people healthier closer to home.
Planned Care Strategy
  • Work with the planned care team, acute providers, and ICS partners to strategically reduce waiting lists and provide high-quality planned care in a sustainable manner.
  • Develop effective outpatient and diagnostic pathways, and invest in the right areas to improve productivity.
Requirements
  • Coordinate complex ICS-wide projects with multiple senior stakeholders.
  • Support strategic prioritization activities using health economics methodologies to understand the impact of initiatives on key domains.
  • Conduct diverse strategic analyses to inform decision-making.
Desirable Skills
  • Ability to work effectively on a combination of strategic and operational projects and activities.
Knowledge and Experience
  • Up-to-date understanding of the NHS, including its organization, policy developments, and current initiatives.
  • Significant experience working with the health equity agenda, including working with communities to reduce inequalities.
Technical Skills
  • Strong ability to implement evidence-backed good practice health economic methodologies to measure the impact of proposed initiatives on outcomes, care quality, access, patient experience, and value for money.
