Waste Network Operations Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Waste Network Operations Specialist to join our team in Worcestershire. As a key member of our Customer Networks team, you will play a vital role in maintaining and improving our waste network infrastructure.
Salary and BenefitsThe successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of £35,000 per annum, plus weekend working and shift allowances. Job DescriptionThe Waste Network Operations Specialist will be responsible for resolving various issues and offering excellent customer service when it matters most. This will involve working within our communities, focusing on resolving issues such as blocked sewers, using an array of impressive vacuum, jetting and blockage clearing equipment. The role works on a shift pattern which will involve some working on weekends and evenings on a rotating shift pattern, including on call/standby.
You will be required to carry out CCTV surveys of drainage systems to maintain, diagnose and determine the most appropriate solution. You will also liaise with other departments including our control centre, operations, and maintenance. Additionally, you will work within confined spaces and work at heights. You will be responsible for operating your vehicle in compliance with road transport legislation and Severn Trent policies and procedures. Finally, you will ensure that vehicles are maintained in a clean & roadworthy condition both internally and externally.
Required Skills and QualificationsWe are looking for a self-motivated individual with good attention to detail, who can work as part of a team as well as autonomously. You should have a passion for doing a quality, right first-time job, together with strong organisation skills with an interest in problem solving. It is desirable but not necessary to hold a C license. You should also have the ability and desire to build strong relationships with customers.
