The Costello's Ace Hardware Brand Ambassador plays a pivotal role in ensuring service excellence throughout our footprint. This individual will develop leads and customer opportunities into long-lasting partnerships, leveraging their extensive product knowledge and understanding of industry trends.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute Same Day Service (SDS) events, in-store training, off-site service events, and services for our customers, while continuously providing exceptional service and driving sales.
  • Run SDS Events in various Costello's locations.
  • Upgrade and add-on sales while working with customers.
  • Complete any in-store services during SDS event downtime.
  • Stay aware of all current promotions and sales throughout the company.
  • Complete store checklists to ensure assigned stores have the tools & resources available and in working order to perform all services and functions.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and in-store trainer for staff, educating them to perform all services.
  • Facilitate Dot com business, service signage, KIBO accuracy, promote TSP awareness, and TSP signage.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on B2B Reignite Program.
  • Represent the company in a positive manner.
  • Be 'customer ready' whenever on the sales floor/event.
  • Be alert for possible merchandise losses. Protect all company assets and report any missing or damaged merchandise to your supervisor.
  • Perform other tasks as asked by Managing Partners and members of management.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of all Company products and services, including product equipment functionality and pricing.
  • Thoroughly understand and be proficient in relevant applications, (Eagle / Epicor) systems, and databases utilized by the Costello's organization.
  • Follow all company guidelines and processes.
  • Attend and participate in sales events and meetings.
  • Provide accurate and detailed weekly forecasts of activity in pursuit of department goals.
  • Make cold calls to customers and prospects and/or reach out to B2B prospects and customers.
  • Present and demonstrate the value of products and services to prospective buyers.
  • Develop individual strategies that drive revenue.
  • Build long-lasting, mutually beneficial relationships with external contacts and internal departments to create a better customer experience.
  • Keep Management informed on key issues affecting performance.
  • Address customer complaints and negotiations through to resolution.
  • Work with in-store staff and management to cultivate a cohesive culture.
  • Deliver product when necessary.
  • Attend networking events on Company's behalf.
  • Participate in special projects and perform such other duties, as management may, from time to time, deem necessary.
  • Uphold cleanliness standards in vehicles and work areas and complete weekly equipment maintenance checklists.
  • Must immediately inform supervisors of any issues with company vehicles or equipment when they arise, as well as report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations.
  • Maintain a safe and competent driving record as demonstrated on state Motor Vehicle Records.
  • Operate Company vehicles in a safe manner and comply with all applicable motor vehicle and traffic laws, ensuring no usage of a cellphone while operating a vehicle.
  • Participate in all company safety trainings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
